SINTOK: The denizens of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) have the opportunity to reflect on, appreciate, and commemorate the independence of their beloved homeland, celebrated annually on 31 August, as they join in the UUM-level 2024 National Day celebration.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, expressed sincere appreciation for the remarkable efforts and sacrifices made by the freedom fighters, whose unwavering dedication has laid a strong groundwork for our nation.
According to him, the theme “Malaysia Madani: Jiwa Merdeka” serves as a reminder for everyone to pursue their passions and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their chosen endeavours.
He stated that this is the appropriate moment for UUM denizens to bolster their determination, elevate their spirit, and reaffirm their dedication to achieving greatness, in accordance with the spirit of independence that is being commemorated today.

“I urge all UUM denizens to join me and the UUM management in our ongoing efforts to enhance our commitment. Let us always strive to give our best in every task and responsibility, demonstrating integrity and dedication.
