Vice-Chancellor Encourages Parental Involvement in Student Success
SINTOK: Parents and guardians of newly registered students to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) have been urged to play a vital role in supporting their children’s academic pursuits.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan said that despite the fact that these students are now adults, they still require both physical and emotional support in order to succeed in their studies.
According to him, UUM campus community is prepared to welcome the students, offering conducive environment for learning for next four years, with unwavering dedication and determination to helping them realise their aspirations, vision and mission.
During the Vice-Chancellor’s Meet and Greet Session with Parents and Guardians of First Semester Students for the 2024/2025 academic session, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan commended the parents and relatives for their successful efforts in guiding these new students as they embark on an exciting new phase of life.
“This achievement is a testament to the dedication and commitment of parents who have nurtured and guided their children’s development,” he said.
He also spoke about the four ongoing developments at UUM, and introduced members of the university’s top management including the deans of various schools.
