This vibrant event served as a platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, professional development and student engagement across the College of Business.
COB Week 2025 stood as a powerful testament to the unity and synergy among student clubs under the aegis of the College of Business (COB). Organised by the COB Week 2025 Committee in partnership with all clubs across the COB schools, including Northern Varsity Accounting Club (NOVAC), Entrepreneur Corporate Club (ECC), Management Executive Club (MEC), Finance and Banking Society (FABS), Economics Student Association (ECOSA), Malaysia Agro Entrepreneurial Club for University Students UUM (MyAgrosis), Bursa Young Investor Club (BYIC), Management of Technology (MOTIC), Islamic Finance and Banking Association (IFBA) and International Business Management Society (IBMS), the event brought together the next generation of industry leaders under the inspiring theme “COB Synergy: Empower Minds, Transform a Sustainable Future.”
The opening ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Ram Al Jaffri Saad, Assistant Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA). In his keynote speech, he emphasised the power of unity: “When we bring our talents together, we create something bigger than ourselves, and thus we create synergy.”
The opening ceremony was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr Shuhymee Ahmad, Dean of the School of Business Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr Selamah Maamor, Dean of the Islamic Business School; Dr. Mohd Hadzrami Harun Rasit, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs & Alumni at Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA), along with club presidents, subprogramme directors, and the representatives from each club.
Over the course of three days, COB Week offered a rich lineup of activities designed to engage and empower. These included the Treasure Hunt, a Company Secretarial Talk, a Career Readiness Talk, a Debate Competition, the RHB Programme, and an Ambassador Sharing Session. Each session was carefully curated to provide students with real-world insights, sharpen their professional competencies, and spark meaningful dialogue.
The closing ceremony was a fitting finale, featuring a heartfelt recap video that captured the event’s most memorable moments. Tokens of appreciation were presented to all collaborating clubs, followed by an official prize-giving ceremony recognising the winners of Treasure Hunt and Debate Competition.
In the end, COB Week 2025 was more than just a collection of programmes- it was a celebration of shared purpose, leadership, and intellectual curiosity. By bringing together students, faculty, and industry professionals, the event cultivated a culture of mutual respect and forward-thinking collaboration, proving just how much can be achieved when diverse minds come together in pursuit of a common goal.
