CIANJUR, INDONESIA: Five students from Islamic Leadership School Taruna Panatagama traveled from Yogyakarta to Cianjur to assist the children affected by the earthquake from the 8 until 12 December 2022.
They start distributing supplies, such as stationery, clothing, food, and money, at four different locations in Cianjur (Pataruman, Cipadang, Longkewang, and Nyengket) with the assistance of two teachers.
The Student Council and the school institution itself initiated this voluntary project.
The Headmaster of Islamic Leadership School Taruna Panatagama, Agus Salim Mustafa SEI, said that this activity is an act of care from the students to the victims.
“We hope the survivors feel that there are people out there who care about them and are more than willing to help, so they can regain their strength to carry on living, he added.
