ALOR SETAR: Albukhary International University encourages its students to start running a social business.

Vice Chancellor of Albukhary International University, Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Abd Aziz Tajuddin, said, our hope is that when they hear or see the term “social business,” they will immediately think of Albukhary International University.

He also pointed out that the four impactful social businesses founded by AIU students (Plasti-go, AIU Alive Shop, Therapy Lab, and Po-stitch) have competed in numerous competitions and been recognized for their usefulness by a wide range of people.

“We give our students opportunities for practical involvement, not just studying in class, but also working with lecturers and staff to improve their creativity and awareness as agents of change,” he added

A place where students can learn about social business and start their own so that they can help more people in their community.

AIU believed that by embracing the 5A core values, practicing the 8-hour Rule, and embracing the 3-zero concepts, their students would be able to achieve a better study-life balance and explore themselves more.

Dr. Abd Aziz mentioned social business at Albukhary International University’s second convocation.

The convocation was held in the Albukhary International University Convocation Hall, and dignitaries, faculty members, and 89 graduates from 25 countries, as well as their parents and families, attended.

At this convocation, The Chancellor of Albukhary International University Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Laureate, also officiated and presented a total of six students with four awards presented.

The Chancellor’s Award, The Vice Chancellor’s Award, The Sharifah Rokiah Special Award, and Best Students for Foundation Studies.
