Closing ceremony marks successful ICT exploration

ALOR SETAR: A collaborative effort between TM Kedah Perlis, the Institute for Advanced and Smart Digital Opportunities (IASDO), the School of Computing at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (PERKIM) Alor Setar culminated in the closing ceremony of an extensive ICT Exploration Programme with PERKIM Alor Setar students.

Attended by notable individuals and representatives, the occasion honoured the achievements of the programme and emphasised the significance of this collaborative endeavour. In addition to distinguished attendees like Dato’ Mansor Ismail, Chairman of PERKIM Kedah State and Datin Aishah Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of PERKIM, honoured guests included PERKIM children. Also present were Turedy Abdullah, the Secretary of PERKIM; Mr. Yusof bin Omar, the Chief Manager of State Regulatory & Engagement at TM Kedah & Perlis; and Datin Noridah Bachik, the Public Relations Office Manager, TM Kedah & Perlis.

Meanwhile, distinguished guests from UUM included Deputy Dean for Student Affairs & Alumni, School of Computing, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr Mohamad Fadli Zulkifli; Director of IASDO SOC, Dr. Hapini Awang; Deputy Director of IASDO SOC, Gs. Dr. Nur Suhaili Mansor; and IASDO SOC board member, Prof. Dr. Huda Haji Ibrahim.

Among the noteworthy events that took place during the ceremony was the presentation of laptops to PERKIM by TM, a signal of their dedication to supporting educational pursuits. Tokens were also presented to UUM and TM, acknowledging their pivotal roles in the success of the programme.

The event reached its pinnacle with the presentation of certificates to the participants of the programme, acknowledging their commitment and accomplishments during the ICT exploration initiative. The successful collaboration between these esteemed organisations and the enthusiastic participation of the students highlight the significance of promoting technological exploration and education.
