Police find a Russian woman’s body

PHUKET: According to provincial police commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Sermpan Sirikhong, the body of a Russian woman who went missing from Na Thon beach in Thalang district on October 20 was discovered yesterday morning.

Nearly 40 kilometers off Na Thon beach and 30 kilometers off Patong beach, Elena Rusradchenko, 53, was discovered floating in the water dead.

She was wearing just as she was the last time, she was seen alive.

He claimed that she had been carried away by the current to a garbage-filled area off Patong Beach, which was completely far from the place that had been searched before.

At around 11.30 am, the Kusultham Phuket Foundation found her body and hauled it to shore at Layan Beach in Hat Layan National Park, tambon Choengthele in Thalang district.

On October 16, Rusradchenko travelled from Russia with a group of pals and checked into a hotel near Nai Thon beach.

She was last seen alive on Oct. 20 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. when she was photographed by nearby CCTV cameras.

She was standing under a pine tree on Nai Thon beach taking off a pair of shoes.

Her disappearance was reported to the police on Oct 21.

A land, air and sea search started that same day.

Numerous organizations, including the marine police and the 3rd Naval Area, were involved in the search.
