On Sunday, November 27, 2022, the Al Bukhary Thailand Student Association (ATSA) members were gathering to celebrate the big achievements of Thai students, Marwan Amnihiya and Hilwa Yusof.
“To my family, the Convocation ceremony is an achievement of yours, and at the beginning of my next chapter, I would like to express gratitude towards your sacrifices and guidance,” said Marwan.
From a dreamer to a graduate. The university opened up to further study in the business field and fulfill his future dream of being a businessman. Marwan was doing a very small business during his study to reduce barriers for parents. He finally did it.
Hilwa came from a humble background and has a small business in Yala Thailand, and she applied for a Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) (Honors) in AIU to fulfill her future goal.
During her study period, she obtained high grades that had the capacity to achieve Dean’s list award for seven semesters in a row, and she had been successfully receiving a prize at AIU Social Business Week 2021.
With better practice, she is able to become the first Thai student at AIU who received Vice Chancellor’s Award in the Convocation Ceremony as well as she graduated with a first-class degree.
“I truly felt honored and a little bit proud of myself for the outcome I have put in a great deal of, and I may not be here without unstoppable prayer from my mom, family, friends, or even strangers.” Hilwa was said.
AIU Thai Students Association or well known as ATSA is one of the associations under Student Affairs (SA) at Albukhary International University. It was established in 2018 by the first Thai student group at AIU. Both of them are the ones who founded ATSA.
The President of ATSA said, “I am proudly amazed that my brother and sister had achieved their big goals, and create a historical moment for the association”.
