UUM ONLINE: Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah received a courtesy call from the Commander of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), First Admiral Azeman Yusoff, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Meeting Room, yesterday.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss cooperation initiatives that could be implemented jointly between UUM and the RMN.
Haim Hilman said the meeting will be the starting point for strategic cooperation between RMN and UUM.
“Both parties can work together to organise university programme or events with PALAPES and, at the same time, to see the direction of PALAPES for the next five years.
“It is my hope that RMN can help UUM in the implementation of programme and human capital development according to the expertise available in their respective organisations,” he said, who also offered the opportunity to continue their studies to interested RMN members.
He also explained the strategic cooperation opportunities that can be implemented between UUM and RMN.
Meanwhile, Azeman said he welcomed the proposed collaboration, especially in improving the marketability of students from PALAPES in terms of discipline, competitiveness, and academic excellence.
According to him, with the discussion held, it will be possible to pioneer new cooperation between the two organisations.
