SHAH ALAM – Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has taken the initiative to channel donations to those affected by the earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria through the #BantuanBencana Sinar Karangkraf x SyriaCare Fund.

The donation in the amount of RM7,100 that was collected as a result of the contributions made by the university denizens was presented to the Executive Director of Karangkraf Media Group, Mdm. Farah Hussamuddin.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) who is performing the duties of UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Shahimi Mohtar said that the collection of the donation was carried out after hearing about the disaster that had occurred in the two countries that were involved. “UUM students and staff are always alert and quick to respond and help every time a natural or man-made disaster occurs inside or outside the country,” he said.
