Sintok – A total of 130 Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) staff members attended a workshop on reorganising the organisational chart at Angsana Hall, EDC-UUM, on 15 and 16 August 2023.
The workshop was attended by the deans, directors, and their deputies. They gathered to discuss the organisational chart of their respective departments based on the cluster, function and purpose of the establishment. The goal was to align the structure with the University’s rules, vision and mission.

During this workshop, participants conducted a thorough review of the organisation chart and its corresponding functions to identify any instances where duties overlap with those of other centres of authority, and if necessary, remove such overlap.
The presentation was also attended by the UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan as well as members of the University Management Committee (JPU).

The outcomes of the groups’ discussion and presentation will be presented to the members of the University Board of Directors (LPU) for the purpose of implementing them in 2024.
The workshop was organised by the Registrar’s Department in collaboration with the Legal Unit at the Chancellery.
