UUM professor receive CMO Asia Award for Excellence in Education

SINGAPORE: Professor of Marketing and E-commerce at the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia, Prof. Ts Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki was awarded the Best Professor in Marketing Studies at the 14th CMO Asia Award for Excellence in Education at Pan Pacific Hotel, here recently.

The CMO Asia Awards are presented by CMO Asia with the Asian Confederation of Businesses as strategic partner and Stars of the Industry Group as research partner.

The top awards are given to individuals and institutions that have surpassed multiple levels of excellence and lead by example.

“Praise be to Allah. It is an honour and privilege for me to receive such a prestigious international award,” said Dr. Norazah.

The award confirms her quality research and publications in marketing studies, with a high number of citations, which has further strengthened the University’s ranking and reputation internationally.

She was selected by a group of international judges who pre-selected senior professionals and leaders from around the world based on their exceptional work and track record.

UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Foad Sakdan congratulated Dr. Norazah on her achievements.

“We are proud that Dr. Norazah, one of UUM’s outstanding professors is being honoured by an international body. This reflects that our position as an eminent management university is proven and recognized internationally,” said Dr. Mohd Foad.

Prof. Ts Dr. Norazah is also on the list of Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists and Career-Long Achievements, recipient of Malaysia’s Research Star Award 2018, Highly Commended Paper in Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2015 and 2017 and winner of IGI Global’s Seventh Annual Excellence in Research Journal Award.

She has published over 300 papers in the fields of marketing, entrepreneurship, business management, and e-commerce with a SCOPUS h-index of 32. She is also the editor of several books indexed on SCOPUS.
