SINTOK – Social Security Management Conference is scheduled to be officiated by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan at the Dorsett Hotel Putrajaya, Selangor on 19 October 2023.
According to the chairman of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr Mohd Faizal Mohd Isa, the conference is a collaborative effort with the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).
“The Centre of Excellence for Social Securities Management, School of Business Studies (SBM), UUM aims to address pertinent issues and challenges that align with societal needs, industry requirements, and the ever-evolving technological landscape throughout the duration of the conference,” he said.
He reiterated that the conference is also an annual event, as stipulated in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between UUM and SOCSO, which was signed on 5 August 2022, for a duration of 5 years.
The Vice-Chancellor aspires that this conference will serve as a platform for practitioners, academics, and the community to engage in discussions pertaining to the strategy and direction of present and future social security management. It is anticipated that this conference will achieve its intended objective.
Moreover, at the same event, the Chief Executive Officer of PERKESO Group Dato’ Sri Dr Mohammed Azman bin Dato’ Aziz Mohammed, will be presented with the prestigious 2023 Influential Leaders Award.
This esteemed accolade presented by AACSB International marks the second recognition presented to UUM alumni, following the achievement of Yang Mulia Raja Azura binti Raja Mahayuddin, CEO of Yayasan Peneraju, in 2019.
UUM has been honoured as the sole recipient of this prestigious award amongst the universities in Malaysia.
