OYAGSB hosts Graduation Hi-Tea Class of 2025 to celebrate graduating students

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 November 2025: Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) successfully hosted the Graduation Hi-Tea Class of 2025 at Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur to honour students who will be graduating in the upcoming 38th UUM Convocation Ceremony.

The event brought together more than 130 graduands from various postgraduate programmes under OYAGSB and the UUM College of Business (UUMCOB), marking a significant milestone in their academic and professional journey.

In his welcoming address, Prof. Dr. Hassan Abu Bakar, Dean of OYAGSB, congratulated the graduating class on their success.

“This graduation is a celebration not only of your hard work, but also the love and sacrifices of your families who have stood by you every step of the way,” said Prof. Dr. Hassan.

Among the highlights of the afternoon were the presentation of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 7 Diploma, Graduation on Time (GOT) Certificates, and 4-Flat (4.00) Achievement Awards, recognising students who demonstrated academic excellence and perseverance throughout their studies.

The celebration continued with a hi-tea session, featuring  a special performance by the Barbarik Band, followed by a networking segment thatfostered meaningful engagement among students and faculty members.

Representing the spirit of the graduating cohort, Dr. Khairiah, a graduand of PhD (Technology, Operation and Logistic Management), expressed appreciation to OYAGSB and UUM for their guidance and unwavering  support throughout  her academic journey.

She said “I am truly grateful to be part of the OYAGSB family. The journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and I am proud to graduate from an institution that truly lives up to its tagline — ‘We Produce Strategic Leaders’.

The knowledge, values, and experiences gained here will continue to guide us as we move forward in our careers and lives.”

The OYAGSB Graduation Hi-Tea Class of2025 not only celebrated the achievements of the graduating class but also reaffirmed OYAGSB’s dedication to nurturing future business leaders who embody integrity, professionalism, and global citizenship.
