MKSK Hibah Takaful Scheme Offers Support to Families of the Deceased

SINTOK: Mdm. Sepiah Shafie, 55, the widow of Allahyarham Nor Azman Abd Aziz, who served as the General Assistant at the Department of Development and Infrastructure Management (JPPI), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), expressed hope that contributions totalling RM84,000 will contribute to the provision for the deceased in the afterlife.

The housewife was presented with a mock cheque of the MKSK Hibah Group Scheme – Takaful Ikhlas by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, with the Administrative Officer at the Department of Human Resources, Mr. Mohd Yusnaidi Md. Sabri, in attendance. The cheque was presented at the Vice-Chancellor’s Meeting Room yesterday.

Allahyarham Nor Azman tragically passed away on 12 April as a result of a road accident.

According to Mdm. Sepiah, the compensation funds will be allocated to pay off her late husband’s debts, finance the Hajj for the deceased, and enable her to perform Umrah with her children.

She also mentioned using a portion of the funds for daily living expenses.

“I wish to pay off all outstanding debts of the deceased and lead a debt-free life.

“The compensation funds received adequately cover the children’s educational expenses, alongside the pension benefits from my late husband,” she said.

Mdm. Sepiah, who is currently unemployed and caring for her grandson, plans to resume her business venture near her son’s school after her grandson moves to Penang with his mother.

In addition, the beneficiaries of the late Mr. Mohd Zamri Salleh (RM82,000), Mr. Muhammad Aiman Harith Mohd Hashim (RM2,000), and Ms. Ku Nur Aleesya Ku Mohd Amizi (RM2,000) received contributions from the MKSK Hibah Takaful Scheme.

The ceremony also included the presentation of RM500 in MKSK Welfare Fund contributions to nine UUM staff members affected by flooding.
