Courtesy Visit by the Director of the PDRM Management Department

SINTOK, 12 February 2025: The Director of Management Department, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), CP Dato’ Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid, paid a courtesy visit to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), yesterday.

During the visit, he expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to UUM for its collaboration on multiple series of competency assessments conducted for PDRM staff.

This visit also served as an opportunity to review the proposed launch site for the Competency Dictionary, which is scheduled to take place at UUM soon.

CP Dato’ Abdul Aziz commended the productive bilateral discussions and emphasised the potential for future cooperation between both parties.

Accompanied by the Deputy Director of PDRM Management, CP Dato’ Mohd Roze Shaari, and other delegates, he attended a meeting with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Russayani Ismail, along with UUM staff at the Senate Meeting Room.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Russayani Ismail expressed UUM’s previlege in hosting the PDRM delegation and conveyed her gratitude for the trust placed in the university.

“This visit also includes a site inspection for the upcoming launch of the Competency Dictionary and highlights the ongoing collaboration between UUM and PDRM which began since 2020.

“UUM researchers have actively engaged in assessing the competency behaviour and potential of the Royal Malaysian Police,” he said.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Zubaidah Othman, lecturer at the School of Business Management, delivered a briefing on the implementation the strategic cooperation outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PDRM and UUM.

Following the ceremony, the delegation visited the Sultanah Bahiyah Library (PSB) to observe the designated site for the competency assessment.
