SINTOK, 20 January 2025: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) recently welcomed a delegation from Hang Seng University (HSU) of Hong Kong, marking a significant milestone in the partnership established during the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference 2024.
During the conference, UUM was represented by Prof. Dr Mohd Azizuddin Mohd Sani, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), who engaged in preliminary discussions with HSU representatives. These discussions culminated in a shared commitment to fostering international collaboration and mutual academic growth. This visit reaffirms the unwavering commitment of both institutions to strengthening global partnerships and advancing academic excellence on an international scale.
The delegation from HSU, led by Dr Ken Yau (Head of Global Affairs) and accompanied by Ms. Mary Ip (Global Affairs Manager) and Ms. Sherraine Chiu (Senior Executive Officer), engaged in productive discussions with UUM CIAC. These discussions focused on operationalizing a student exchange program aimed at promoting cross-cultural understanding and facilitating impactful academic collaborations between the two institutions.
During the visit, the delegation experienced UUM’s vibrant campus life through an engaging tour that highlighted the university’s innovative programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and strong commitment to internationalization and quality education.
CIAC’s team warmly welcomed the HSU representatives, showcasing the unique attributes that position UUM as a hub for academic and cultural excellence.
