Heritage, Unity, and Aspirations Shine at UUM Alumni Royal Banquet 2025
PETALING JAYA, 10 August 2025: His Royal Highness (HRH) Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Tuanku Chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), graciously attended the UUM Alumni Royal Banquet 2025 held last night at One World Hotel.
The arrival of HRH was warmly welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, together with the university’s senior management team and alumni from diverse backgrounds, whose presence further enhanced the significance of this grand occasion.
Also in attendance were HRH Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah ibni Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin, the Raja Muda of Kedah and UUM Pro-Chancellor; HRH Dato’ Seri Diraja Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin, the Tunku Mahkota of Kedah; and Tengku Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka (Dr) Mahaleel Tengku Ariff were also in attendance.
HRH Che Puan Muda Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff, the Tuanku Raja Puan Muda of Kedah, and HRH Che Puan Nur Julie Ariff, Tunku Puan Mahkota of Kedah, also graciously graced the occasion with their presence.
The banquet served as an esteemed platform to reunite UUM alumni, strengthen bonds, and celebrate their achievements, which have elevated the university’s standing both nationally and internationally. It also aimed to highlight the University’s proud heritage, foster unity, and articulate future aspirations.
The evening was further enlivened by captivating performances from celebrated guest artists, including Datuk Jamal Abdillah, Dina Nadzir, Farhan, Aril Pilus, and Amir Masdi, who contributed to the vibrant and memorable evening.
Distinguished guests in attendance included the Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dato’ Dr. Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian; the Chairman of the UUM Board of Directors, Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Shukor Mahfar; as well as members of the Board of Directors (LPU) and the University Management Committee (JPU).
