The awards were presented across five major categories — Excellence in Innovation in Research, Excellence in Early Career Research, Excellence in Sustainability Research, Excellence in Women in Research, and Outstanding Pioneer Award.
Prof. Norazah received her award from the Director-General of Higher Education, Dato’ Prof. Dr Azlinda Azman, in recognition of her exceptional achievements and leadership in research.

Expressing her gratitude, she acknowledged the unwavering institutional support she has received from UUM and OYAGSB.
“The strong support from my university and faculty has been a major catalyst in sustaining my passion for publishing high-impact research in reputable, Scopus-indexed journals. This recognition reflects not only my personal journey, but also UUM’s growing reputation for excellence in the global research arena,” she said.
Prof. Norazah, who received a cash prize of RM2,000, has also made history as the first Malaysian woman to be listed among the top two percent of the world’s scientists for seven consecutive years (2019–2025).
