Alumnus Returns to Help Prepare UUM Students for the Job Market

SINTOK: The signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Big Dataworks Sdn. Bhd. held was reminiscent of the past for Big Dataworks’ Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Sheriza Zakaria is an alumnus of UUM who earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology in 1998.

According to him, the MoU signifies a collaboration between his organisation and UUM, specifically through the Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA UUM).

The MoU was signed by UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, and Mr. Sheriza.

Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan expressed his hope that this collaboration would benefit all parties involved and inspire more successful UUM alumni to return and contribute to the university.

This collaboration will provide Big Dataworks Sdn. Bhd. the opportunity to introduce UUM students, especially those from TISSA, to data analysis, equipping them for the future job market.

Through Big Dataworks’ expertise and institutional strength, the organisation is committed to giving back to their alma mater.
