OYAGSB welcomes CEEMAN IQA Peer Review Team for Re-Accreditation site visit

SINTOK, 9 October 2025: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), through the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), proudly welcomed the CEEMAN International Quality Accreditation (IQA) Peer Review Team (PRT) for its Re-Accreditation Site Visit Audit.
The two-day visit marked another important milestone in OYAGSB’s continuous pursuit of international recognition for excellence in management education. The Peer Review Team (PRT), comprising Professor Slawomir Smyczek from the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland, and Professor Helena Van Zyl from the University of the Free State, South Africa, commended OYAGSB for its strong strategic direction, dedicated faculty, impactful research, and dynamic engagement with industry partners – attributes that align closely with CEEMAN’s global standards of excellence.
Throughout the visit, the auditors met with UUM’s top management, OYAGSB leadership, academic staff, programme directors, students, alumni, and representatives from industry and government agencies. The schedule also included a campus tour and a series of in-depth discussions on OYSGSB’s continuous improvement initiatives and its future direction.
According to Prof. Dr. Hassan Abu Bakar, Dean of OYAGSB, the re-accreditation process reflects UUM’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality postgraduate business education, enhancing research impact, and ensuring industry relevance, all of which reinforces its position as a leading management university in the region.
OYAGSB received encouraging preliminary feedback from the auditors, underscoring the school’s steadfast dedication to upholding global standards in management education. The official results and full report of the CEEMAN IQA re-accreditation are expected to be announced within the next two to three months.
