UUM Vice-Chancellor Calls for Stronger Recruitment and Student-Centred Service at OYAGSB Kuala Lumpur Campus

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 April 2026: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Ahmad Martadha Mohamed, met with the administrative staff of the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Kuala Lumpur Campus, in a strategic engagement session aimed at reaffirming the university’s commitment to delivering a high-quality, student-centred educational excellence.

Also in attendance were Prof. Dr Haznizam Shaari, Dean of OYAGSB, and Datuk Prof. Ts. Dr Norazah Mohd Suki, Deputy Dean (Academic and International) of OYAGSB.
During the session, Prof. Dr Ahmad Martadha emphasised the importance of strengthening marketing strategies to further enhance student recruitment. He emphasised that OYAGSB’s strong and well-established reputation in postgraduate business education should be strategically leveraged to increase enrolment and elevate the visibility of its postgraduate programmes, particularly at the Kuala Lumpur Campus.
“OYAGSB is a strong and established brand. Its role must be further strengthened in driving student enrolment and enhancing programme visibility,” he said.
In addition to recruitment efforts, he also highlighted the importance of delivering excellent service to students, stressing that every student’s engagement with the university should be meaningful, seamless, and fulfilling.

“We must be ready to serve our students as our customers, ensuring that their experience with the university is both meaningful and satisfying,” he added.
The session also touched on ongoing and planned improvements to facilities at the OYAGSB Kuala Lumpur Campus, aimed at further enhancing the teaching and learning environment, as well as supporting greater student engagement and overall campus experience.
This engagement reflects UUM’s continued commitment to strengthening student recruitment, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring that its academic ecosystem remains responsive, supportive, and firmly centred on student success.
