SINTOK, 27 March 2025 – A total of 14 staff members from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), comprising both academic and administrative staff, have received promotion letters.
The letters were presented by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, during a ceremony held at the Vice-Chancellor’s Meeting Room this morning.
Of the total, seven recipients were academic staff consisting of Language Instructors promoted to grades DG13 and DG12; four administrative officers were promoted to grade N13; one accountant to grade WA13; one librarian to grade S13; and one engineer to grade J12.
Meanwhile, English Language Coordinator, Mdm. Lieyana Teo Mohd Zulkifli Teo, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the promotion letter.
“This promotion is a recognition of my efforts and commitment thus far, as well as a significant trust placed in me to uphold the responsibilities that come with it.
“Moreover, it is a joyful gift for me and my entire family, coinciding with the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration, and at the same time, it is the best blessing during this month of Ramadan,” she said.
She also expressed her hope to continue providing excellent service and contributing to the success of UUM.
The promotion letter presentation ceremony is hoped to symbolise appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the staff, while also boosting motivation to serve with excellence in achieving the university’s success.
Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Vice-Chancellors and the Registrar, Mr. Ahmad Rasidi Abdullah.
