PSB Launches Legacy 40 Book in conjunction with its 40th Anniversary
SINTOK, 11 September 2025: Sultanah Bahiyah Library (PSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), has launched a commemorative book titled Legasi 40 in celebration of the library’s 40th anniversary.
Legasi 40 was published as a tribute to PSB’s four decades of achievements, particularly in pioneering library system innovations, hosting seminars and tournaments, as well as acknowledging individuals whose contributions have significantly shaped the library’s development.
The book was authored by Ms. Nor Shafizawati Shafie, Ms. Norazmilah Yaakub, Roshadimah Awang, Ms. Azlina Ahmad and Ms. Ranizaton Shinar Ramli, with the inspiration and guidance of Prof. Dr Che Azlan Taib, Chief Librarian of UUM.
According to Prof. Dr Che Azlan, the publication of the book is not only intended to serve as a valuable historical record, but also as a source of inspiration for the library community and future generations to continue PSB’s tradition of excellence.
UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan expressed his appreciation to PSB for the initiative, describing it as an important chronicle of the university’s journey.
“Legasi 40 is more than just a documentary volume; it embodies the commitment, resilience, and collaborative spirit of PSB staff who unwaveringly uphold UUM’s mission as the eminent management university. I believe this book will serve as an invaluable reference and a motivating force for charting future excellence,” he said.
