TM X SoC X SDU Sawasdee Beyond Border attracted 80 participants

TRANG (THAILAND): ‘TM X SOC X SDU: SAWASDEE BEYOND BORDER’, mobility programme, a collaboration between Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Suan Dusit University, took place from 13 to 17 August 2024 at Suan Dusit University.

The programme attracted the participation of 80 dedicated individuals from both universities underscoring the commitment to foster academic and cultural exchange.

Among the UUM participants were the Deputy Dean of School of Computing, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr Mohamad Fadli Zolkipli, Dr Hapini Awang, Dr. Nur Suhaili Mansor, Mrs. Nor Farzana Abd Ghani and Mdm. Nur Marissa Vee Senap. Their involvement highlighted the collaborative spirit that drives such initiatives.  

During the mobility programme, participants engaged in various activities organised by Suan Dusit University. One of the activities included a cooking session where participants had the opportunity to prepare the traditional Thai dish, Tom Yam. The activity was met with enthusiasm and excitement, reflecting the participants’ appreciation for the cultural experience.

The programme also featured a Cultural Night, showcasing Thai tradition. Various traditional Thai performances were also presented to entertain the participants.  The event provided a platform to appreciate and celebrate Thai culture further enhancing the participants’ experience.

Such initiatives are crucial in strengthening the existing ties between UUM and Suan Dusit University. By engaging in collaborative programmes such as this, both institutions can build a more robust partnership that benefits both institutions and their communities.
