95% Employability Rate Proves UUM Graduates Can Compete In Job Market

UUM ONLINE: The 95% graduate employability rate (GE) achieved by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) proves the capability of its graduates to compete in today’s job market.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Foad Sakdan announced that UUM has recorded an impressive graduate employability rate of 95% last year.

According to him, this achievement demonstrates that UUM graduates not only possess academic knowledge, but also the skills required to thrive in an increasing competitive job environment.

Additionally, he noted that UUM graduates command a premium starting salary, with 9.2% indicating strong industry appreciation for UUM graduates.

“I would like to share findings from the graduates who participated in the Graduate Tracer Study System (SKPG). Out of 6,144 graduands who completed the survey until 3 November 2024, 324 bachelor’s degree graduands reported receiving premium salaries of RM 4,000 per month.

“This signifies that UUM graduates are highly regarded by the industries, with nine graduands even earning monthly incomes exceeding RM10,000. Congratulations and well done,” he said during the 37th UUM Convocation Ceremony at Mu’adzam Shah Hall.

He also shared UUM’s recent developments and achievements, extending his congratulations to all graduands and reminding them to honour and appreciate their parents who have supported them throughout their journey.
