Easing Burdens and Inspiring Hope: 141 UUM Students Receive Assistance from the Ministry of Higher Education

SINTOK, 23 September 2025: A total of 141 students from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Foundation in Management programme were celebrated at the Meet and Greet Session with the Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) together with new recipients of the Foundation Financial Assistance Programme (BKA), held today at Seminar Hall A, Convention Complex.

The ceremony was officiated by MoHE Deputy Secretary-General (Policy), Dato’ Dr Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian, along with Registrar, Ahmad Rasidi Abdullah and members of the university’s management.

According to Dr Megat Sany, the programme is one of MoHE’s key initiatives in providing educational funding targeted at students from the B40 and M40 income groups, ensuring they receive the necessary financial support to continue their studies.

“This programme is clear evidence of the government’s commitment to assist students from B40 and M40 families in pursuing higher education at the foundation level.

“I hope all recipients will make the best use of this opportunity and devote their full attention to their studies in order to secure brighter future,” he said.

The event underscored the government’s dedication to ensuring inclusive access to higher education while nurturing competitive graduates from various segments of society.
