Public University Deputy Vice-Chancellors Committee Meeting Convened at UUM

Sintok, 26 February 2025: UUM hosted the Public University Deputy Vice-Chancellors Committee Meeting (Industry and Community Network) at the Senate Meeting Room yesterday.

This meeting served as a platform to discuss innovative strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing the collaborative networks among universities, industry and society. It also ensured that all public universities remained aligned with the requirements of national development and the evolving demands of the industrial revolution.

The meeting was held to strengthen the relationship and cooperation between industry and society, in addition to strengthening the relationship between the university and the industrial sector.

Through this initiative, the university can gain insights into the needs of the industry while industries can offer valuable feedback to help align academic and training programmes with market demands. Furthermore, this collaboration facilitates the sharing of reports on the programmes that have been implemented.

The primary objective of the meeting was to coordinate the initiatives of public universities in strengthening strategic relations with industry and society, in line with national aspirations for economic and social development.

This meeting served as a platform to address current challenges, including issues related to digital transformation, environmental sustainability, and the development of innovative solutions to societal problems through active industry involvement.
