UUM Welcomes Thai Delegation to Discuss Academic Growth and Collaboration

SINTOK, 18 March 2025: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation of Thailand yesterday.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, extended a warm welcome to Dr Pechdau Tohmeena, the Advisor of the Minister of Higher Education, Thailand, upon her arrival at EDC-UUM.

The visit aimed to foster strategic cooperation, with a particular focus on academic cooperation. Central to the discussion was the English Language Competency Test Preparation Course for Thai students, an initiative designed to enhance the qualifications of international graduates.

Through this collaboration, UUM remains committed to enhancing regional educational relations and expanding the academic network between Malaysia and Thailand.

Also in attendance at the event were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof. Dr Mohd Azizuddin Mohd Sani and Director of the Centre for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC), Assoc. Prof. Dr Arpah Abu Bakr.
