OYAGSB supports underprivileged school children with Bakul Kasih Ramadhan

Kuala Lumpur, 10 March 2025 – In the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadhan, the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) has taken a noble initiative to support underprivileged school children by organizing “Bakul Kasih Ramadhan” program.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, the initiative provides food and essential kitchen supplies to students in need.

The event saw the participation of faculty members, staff, and postgraduate students, who came together to distribute the donations.

Prof. Dr. Hassan Abu Bakar, OYAGSB Dean, reaffirmed the school’s commitment to giving back to the community, especially during Ramadhan, a month that encourages compassion and generosity. “At OYAGSB, we believe that education is a powerful tool for change. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire and support students in their academic journey while fostering a sense of social responsibility among our staff and students”.

One of the beneficiaries, Nelsan Bin Abdullah, a level 3 student, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am very happy to receive these basic food supplies that help my family during this Ramadhan. Thank you so much to OYAGSB and UUM.”
