OYAGSB UUM holds 2025 Advisory Board Meeting to strengthen strategic leadership and global excellence

KUALA LUMPUR, 2 November 2025: The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), successfully convened its 2025 Advisory Board Meeting at the Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The meeting brought together esteemed board members comprising prominent industry figures and academic experts to review strategic priorities and shape the School’s future direction in line with its mission to “produce strategic leaders.”

The session began with welcoming remarks by Professor Dr Azizuddin Mohd Sani, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) of UUM, who chaired the meeting.
This was followed by a comprehensive presentation by Professor Dr Hassan Abu Bakar, Dean of OYAGSB, who highlighted the School’s recent achievements, ongoing initiatives, and strategic plans designed to strengthen its standing as a premier graduate business school in the region.
Each of OYAGSB’s Directors of Academic Programmes subsequently presented updates on curriculum enhancements, proposed new academic offerings, and industry-aligned initiatives. These presentations underscored the School’s continued commitment to maintaining academic relevance, ensuring competitiveness, and meeting the demands of an ever-evolving global business landscape.

The board members also deliberated on opportunities to broaden international collaborations and deepen partnerships with industry stakeholders, reaffirming OYAGSB’s emphasis on real-world impact and global engagement.
The half-day meeting concluded with an engaging exchange of ideas, during which board members shared valuable perspectives and practical recommendations to support OYAGSB’s pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, and international visibility.
