KUALA LUMPUR, 17 May 2026: The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia, recently welcomed a delegation from Universitas Riau (UNRI), Indonesia as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen regional academic collaboration and international engagement.
The delegation, led by Prof. Dr Jumiati Sasmita, comprised 20 master’s students. The visit provided a valuable platform for both institutions to explore potential collaborations in areas such as student mobility, faculty exchange and joint research initiatives.

During the session, Datuk Prof. Ts. Dr Norazah Mohd Suki, Deputy Dean (Academic & International), delivered a comprehensive briefing on OYAGSB, highlighting the graduate school’s academic direction, internationalisation initiatives, and commitment to delivering high-quality postgraduate business education.
Emphasising the importance of regional academic partnerships, she noted that such engagements play a vital role in fostering stronger institutional networks and promoting the exchange of knowledge and ideas among universities in the region.
“Engagements such as this are important in building stronger academic networks between universities in the region. They create opportunities for students and academics to share knowledge, explore new perspectives and develop meaningful collaborations,” she said.

The visit also opened opportunities for both institutions to strengthen cross-border learning, expand academic networks and encourage collaborative research that would benefit students, academics and the broader scholarly community.
As a Double Crown business school accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Association of MBAs (AMBA), OYAGSB continues to enhance its international standing while building strategic partnerships with universities across the region.
