SOIS welcomes delegation from UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta for academic engagement and knowledge exchange

SINTOK, 24 May 2026: The School of International Studies (SOIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), warmly welcomed a delegation from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta during an academic visit held at SOIS recently.

As one of SOIS’s strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) partners, the visit reflected the strong and enduring academic relationship between both institutions. The engagement served as an important platform to further strengthen institutional ties and foster closer academic collaboration and regional networking.

The visit also provided valuable opportunities for meaningful knowledge sharing, intellectual engagement, and the exchange of ideas in areas of mutual academic interest. In addition, both institutions held constructive discussions on potential future collaborations involving academic mobility programmes, joint research initiatives, student engagement activities, and regional academic cooperation.

The engagement further reflected the shared commitment of both institutions towards enhancing internationalisation efforts and strengthening academic excellence, particularly in the fields of international studies, social sciences, and global affairs.

SOIS remains committed to expanding its international academic network and looks forward to  strengthening its collaboration with UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta through future academic initiatives, research cooperation, and international engagement activities that will benefit both institutions while contributing to the advancement of regional academic partnerships. – Assoc.
