UUM Strengthens Bonds Through Monthly Staff Gathering

SINTOK, 14 April 2026: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) organised its Monthly Staff Gathering themed “Weaving Togetherness, Strengthening Fellowship” at the UUM Stadium and PALAPES Parade Ground today.

The programme, held in a lively yet relaxed setting, brought together staff and students through a series of sports-based activities designed to strengthen interpersonal ties, foster camaraderie, and cultivate a stronger sense of unity across the university community.

Delivering his address, UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Ahmad Martadha Mohamed, underscored the importance of togetherness and camaraderie as essential values in building a strong and resilient organisation.

He said, “Togetherness forms the foundation of organisational excellence, while camaraderie serves as a catalyst for harmony and productivity among university staff,” he said.

He further urged all UUM staff to continue strengthening the spirit of teamwork and cultivating a culture of excellence to ensure that the university remains relevant, dynamic, and competitive on the global stage.

In addition, he expressed his appreciation to all staff members for their dedication and unwavering commitment, which have significantly contributed to the university’s accomplishments and recognition at both national and international levels.

Among the highlights of the programme were an aerobics session, a brisk walk, and the UUM Muhibah MADANI programme, all of which were organised to promote a healthy lifestyle while further enhancing meaningful connections between staff and students.

Programmes such as this reflect UUM’s continuous commitment to fostering a harmonious, inclusive, and thriving campus environment, while reinforcing the bonds that unite its university community.
