Vice-Chancellor Engages Cohort C Academics in ‘From Vision to Action’ Session
SINTOK, 12 April 2026 – Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) organised the “From Vision to Action: Vice-Chancellor’s Session with Cohort C Academic Staff” programme as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen understanding of the university’s vision, priorities, and future direction among its academic community.
Organised by the Department of Research, Development and Innovation Affairs (JHEPPI), the programme took place in Seminar Hall B, UUM Convention Complex, drawing the participation of Cohort C academic staff alongside members of the university community.
Designed as a meaningful platform for open engagement, the session provided academic staff with the opportunity to interact directly with the Vice-Chancellor, while gaining clearer insight into the university’s aspirations, priorities, and strategic direction.
Among the highlights of the programme were an interactive dialogue session with UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Ahmad Martadha Mohamed, followed by a question-and-answer session that allowed participants to share their views, raise pertinent issues, and seek clarification on matters related to the university’s future direction.
“Cohort C plays a vital role in shaping the future direction of the university, as this group still has a long professional journey ahead and immense potential to contribute meaningfully to the continued development of UUM,” he said.
The programme also highlighted the importance of shared commitment, strategic alignment, and collaborative engagement among academics in ensuring that Universiti Utara Malaysia’s vision and strategies are translated into meaningful action with lasting impact on both the university and society at large.
