OYAGSB Resident Faculty invited to deliver IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Training for Majuperak Holdings Berhad

IPOH, 22 July 2026: The expertise of Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), continues to receive strong recognition from industry, with organisations increasingly engaging its academic experts to strengthen executive capabilities and organisational performance.
Reflecting this growing confidence, OYAGSB Resident Faculty member Associate Professor Dr Rima Melini Md. Tamin was invited by Majuperak Holdings Berhad (MHB) to conduct a two-day executive training programme on “IFRS Sustainability Disclosure (IFRS S1 & S2)” in Ipoh, Perak, from 24 to 25 June 2026.
The programme brought together 30 participants comprising MHB’s senior leadership and management team, including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and other key decision-makers. It provided comprehensive and practical insights into the implementation of IFRS S1: General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2: Climate-related Disclosures, with particular emphasis on sustainability governance, risk management, strategic integration, and disclosure requirements.
Through interactive discussions and case-based learning, participants gained practical knowledge and actionable strategies to strengthen their organisations’ sustainability reporting practices while enhancing their readiness to meet evolving global reporting standards.
Commenting on the significance of the programme, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Majuperak Holdings Berhad, Mr Muhammad Yazurin Sallij bin Muhammad Yasin, expressed his appreciation for the expertise and insights shared during the training.
“As sustainability reporting continues to evolve into a strategic business imperative, it is essential that our leadership team develops a comprehensive understanding of the latest IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.
