INDONESIA, 27 November 2025: The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia, continues to enhance its global visibility through its long-standing partnership with the Association of MBAs (AMBA). Since first securing AMBA accreditation in 2015, OYAGSB has successfully completed two re-accreditation cycles, maintaining this prestigious status until 2028.

OYAGSB’s commitment to global engagement was further demonstrated through its sponsorship of the AMBA–BGA Asia Pacific Conference (APAC), beginning with the 2024 conference in Kuala Lumpur. This commitment continues with OYAGSB once again serving as a sponsor for APAC 2025, currently being held in Bali, Indonesia.

A major highlight of this year’s conference is the recognition accorded to UUM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Prof. Azizuddin Mohd Sani and Dean of OYAGSB, Prof. Hassan Abu Bakar, who were invited to speak in a special sharing session. Their presentation detailed how OYAGSB leverages AMBA accreditation to strengthen the branding and global positioning of UUM’s MBA programme. Their selection as speakers at such an influential platform underscores OYAGSB’s achievements, credibility, and expanding influence within the international business education community.

The MBA Director, Dr. Nazahah Abd Rahim, and the MBM Director, Dr. Teh Raihana Nazirah Roslan, also attended the conference. Their participation reflects OYAGSB’s commitment to learning from global best practices, building professional networks, and continuously enhancing its academic programmes.

APAC 2025 continues to serve as a valuable platform for OYAGSB and UUM to increase their visibility, foster strategic connections, and engage with global leaders in management education. Through sustained excellence, strategic collaborations, and growing international recognition, OYAGSB reaffirms its commitment to developing world-class business leaders and advancing Malaysia’s presence on the global stage.
