DUBAI, 17 November 2025: Management and Leadership Case Study Centre (PKKPK), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), marked another significant milestone on the global education stage when its Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr Narentheren Kaliappen, was invited to speak at the Global Educational Supplies & Solutions (GESS) Dubai 2025 conference, held from 11 to 13 November 2025.

GESS Dubai 2025, recognised as the region’s leading education exhibition and conference, was co-hosted with Education Investment MENA. The event brought together more than 7,000 participants from over 98 countries, uniting educators, policymakers, investors, and innovators to explore emerging solutions shaping the future of global education.
Representing PKKPK and UUM, Dr Narentheren delivered a session titled “Enhancing Educational Experiences: Leveraging Multimedia Cases and Simulations.” His presentation highlighted PKKPK’s ongoing efforts to transform conventional, paper-based teaching cases into multimedia and AI-enhanced learning resources designed to promote engagement, reflection, and real-world problem-solving among students.

Dr Narentheren’s invitation to speak at GESS Dubai was driven by three key achievements that reflect PKKPK’s growing international presence in innovative teaching and learning. First, recognition by the Harvard Business Impact publication, which showcased PKKPK’s contributions to case-based pedagogy and its impact on higher education. Second, the successful transition of paper-based cases into multimedia and simulation-based learning materials, aligning classroom teaching with current digital learning ecosystems. Third, the integration of AI-powered tools such as Notebook LM, GammaAI, PictoryAI, and Visla to develop interactive simulations and decision-based learning environments.

During his session, Dr Narentheren also offered practical recommendations for educators wishing to incorporate multimedia and AI into their teaching practices. He encouraged beginning with small enhancements —such as short videos or interactive quizzes – to increase student engagement. He stressed the importance of designing dynamic yet accessible content that does not require extensive resources. He further suggested adopting a gradual approach, expanding multimedia use progressively as educators’ confidence and experience grow.
PKKPK’s participation in GESS Dubai 2025 underscores its commitment to advancing case-based learning, AI integration, and experiential pedagogy across Malaysia and beyond. Through involvement in such international platforms, PKKPK continues to enhance UUM’s visibility and leadership in innovative education —fostering international collaborations and inspiring educators to embrace the future of learning.
