Celebrating collaboration and innovation at the 4th ICMC Networking Dinner

KOTA KINABALU, 5 February 2025: The 4th International Conference on Management and Communication (ICMC) held its highly anticipated networking dinner on the evening of 4 February 2025 at the Horizon Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The event was organized by the University of Kuala Lumpur (UUMKL) in collaboration with the Sabah State Government and served as a platform for delegates to engage in meaningful discussions, forge new partnerships, and celebrate the spirit of collaboration.
The evening began with an opening speech by Yang Berhormat Datuk Abidin Bin Madingkir, the Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, representing the Chief Minister of Sabah. He warmly welcomed the participants and set the tone for the night.
Datuk Abidin highlighted the importance of innovation and collaboration in advancing management, communication, and digital transformation. He emphasized that the conference’s theme, “Innovating Together: The Convergence of Management, Communication, and Digital Transformation,” aligns perfectly with Sabah’s vision to drive economic growth through technological advancements and effective communication strategies.
Joining the evening’s festivities was the Vice-Chancellor of UUM, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad bin Sakdan. Dato’ Mohd Foad expressed his gratitude to the Sabah State Government for their unwavering support in hosting the conference dinner and contributing to the success of this prestigious event. He shared his thoughts on the significant role of innovation in shaping the future leadership and management. He also underscored the need for continuous collaboration across sectors to navigate the challenges of the digital era and unlock new opportunities.
The conference networking dinner was also attended by the UUMKL Provost, Prof. Dr. Norlena Hasnan, representatives from the Sabah State Government and delegates form University Malaysia Sabah.
The night featured captivating Sabah traditional performances, showcasing Sabah’s rich cultural heritage. The performance captivated the audience with vibrant and colorful displays of traditional dances and music, highlighting the diversity and cultural significance of Sabah. This unique cultural experience further enriched the evening’s atmosphere, creating a sense of unity and celebration among the attendees.
The networking dinner provided a relaxed yet engaging environment for the conference participants to connect, share ideas, and explore potential collaborations. As delegates from various sectors, including academia, government, and business interacted, the evening reflected the core message of the conference: the power of working together to innovate and adapt to the ever-changing digital landscape.
The 4th ICMC continues through 6 February 2025 with insightful discussions, presentations, and workshops that will further explore the intersection of management, communication, and digital transformation.
