KUALA LUMPUR, 20 February 2025: The Winter Cultural Xchange @UUM Programme continued its enriching journey as 34 students and two lecturers from Termez State University and Termez State Pedagogical Institute, Uzbekistan, embarked on an educational and cultural exploration in Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by the Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Centre for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC), the programme’s itinerary included an industrial visit to PKT Logistics Group HQ, an insightful tour of Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery, and a visit to the iconic KLCC Twin Towers.
The first stop was PKT Logistics Group HQ at One Logistics Hub in Shah Alam, where the group received a warm welcome from Deputy General Manager of PKT Foundation, Madam Noor Azila Ahmad. She delivered an engaging presentation on PKT’s innovative green logistics initiatives, smart warehousing solutions, and corporate sustainability strategies.
The session provided students with valuable insights into global supply chain operations, digital transformation in logistics, and the company’s commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
Next, the group visited the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery, where they explored Malaysia’s financial history, monetary policies, and economic development. Interactive exhibits provided a deeper understanding about the role of the central bank in maintaining financial stability, managing currency, and shaping of Malaysia’s banking sector.
The day concluded with a visit to the world-renowned KLCC Twin Towers, where students marvelled at the architectural brilliance of Malaysia’s most iconic skyscraper. The visit highlighted the country’s rapid urban development, economic growth, and cultural diversity.
Through this immersive experience, the students gained a holistic perspective on Malaysia’s economic, industrial, and cultural landscape.
