SINTOK, 2 December 2024: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has received a sponsorship amounting to RM51,000 for the CPD Seminar on Fundamental Property Management (Strata Management) programme at the Vice-Chancellor’s Meeting Room.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, stated that UUM, in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Property and Facility Managers (MIPFM), plans to organise the CPD Seminar on Fundamental Property Management in the near future.
He highlighted that UUM, through its School of Government (SOG), has established a strategic partnership and signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with MIPFM.
“I would like to express my gratitude to UUM’s Centre for Zakat and Waqf, Waqaf An-Nur Corporation Berhad, and Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad for their generous sponsorship of this programme.
“This sponsorship will benefit course participants, particularly final-year students from the B40 group and underprivilleged students across various academic programmes, providing them with valuable advantages upon graduation,” he said.
Prof Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad emphasised that the course would serve as an additional value for students, equipping them to build careers in the property management industry.
He noted that certificates for the course, issued by MIPFM, would include CPD points accredited by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents, and Property Managers (LPPEH) Malaysia, enhancing the competency and employability of students and participants.
He also expressed hope for continued collaboration of this nature to contribute to the betterment of the community, religion, and nation.
Among those present were Mr. Zaharudin Alias, Head of Social Finance Department, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad; Assoc. Prof. PMgr. Sr Dr Mohamad Sukeri Khalid, Dean of SOG; and Deputy Director of the Centre for Zakat and Waqf, UUM, Dr Mohamad Zulkarnai Ghazali.
