SINTOK, 20 January 2025: The UUM Global Buddies Club (GBC) recently hosted a thrilling event, “Tee-Off Triumph: Students’ Golf Outing” at the UUM National Golf Academy (UUMNGA). Designed for beginners, the outing brought together mobility students, AGNUUM students, and GBC members for a memorable morning of learning, fun and camaraderie.
The day began with an energising warm-up session led by the experienced and enthusiastic UUMNGA students. Despite the intense heat, participants remained cheerful and motivated as they were guided through the basics of golf. From mastering the proper grip and posture to learning the art of the swing, participants embraced the challenge with determination under the mentorship of UUMNGA students.
Laughter and encouragement echoed across the golf course as participants took their first swings. While many found it challenging, the supportive tips and motivation from their mentors allowed everyone to experience the thrill of hitting the ball successfully.
The event concluded with a heartfelt closing ceremony. GBC President, Ms. A. Sarvineshaa, and the UUMNGA representatives shared inspiring messages about the value of trying new activities, building friendships, and embracing the spirit of the game. To commemorate the experience, each participant received a well-deserved medal as a token of appreciation.
The day wrapped up ed with a delicious lunch and plenty of photos and videos to capture the memories. Participants shared their positive experiences, highlighting the fun and the valuable lessons learned.
The program was a resounding success, achieving its goals of introducing participants to golf basics, fostering social connections, and creating lasting memories.
