SINTOK, 10 September 2025: The Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) UUM Chapter is proud to announce that it has once again been recognised as the Highest Honours Chapter by Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) for the 2024–2025 academic year. This marks the seventh consecutive year UUM has achieved this prestigious distinction – a true testament to the commitment, resilience, and passion of the UUM BGS community.

This recognition is more than just an award; it reflects the vibrant journey of BGS UUM Chapter over the past year. The management team successfully carried out numerous initiatives aligned with the values of Beta Gamma Sigma, including global exchanges that fostered cross-cultural understanding. Notably, the chapter expanded its network by joining the BGS Asia Pacific Region, which brings together chapters from Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, while also strengthening its partnership with BGS Colombia.

At the community level, the chapter organised two BGS Gives Back programmes that promoted environmental awareness and supported those in need, demonstrating its commitment to meaningful social impact. In addition, the chapter hosted a series of leadership summits and intellectual programmes such as UUM Brainiacs, Asia Pacific Youth Leadership Summit (APYS) 2025, Accounting Competency Challenge (ACC) 2025 and etc.

It also forged a strategic partnership with ACCA, providing members with greater opportunities for professional exposure and insight. Several corporate visits were also organised to give members direct access to industry practices, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional world.

Behind every milestone are the students, schools and members who embody the values of honour, wisdom, and earnestness, transforming ideas into action and challenges into opportunities. Their teamwork and dedication have once again placed UUM firmly on the global map of business education excellence.

“I am truly proud of this achievement and would like to express my sincere gratitude to the BGS leadership team and members for their hard work, creativity, and commitment in making these programmes a success. My appreciation also goes to the UUM College of Business (COB) PNC Office for their continuous guidance and support,” said Dr. Nor Atikah binti Shafai, Coordinator of BGS UUM Chapter.

This seventh consecutive recognition stands as a milestone that highlights UUM’s commitment to inspiring future leaders, driving innovation, and ensuring that the name of Universiti Utara Malaysia continues to shine bright on the world stage.
