Courtesy Visit by The Auditor General Creates Collaboration Opportunities

SINTOK: The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan received a courtesy visit from the Auditor General, Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi.

The visit has indirectly facilitated the exploration of potential opportunities between the National Audit Department (NAD) and Universiti Utara Malaysia.

The meeting included the presence of several officers from the National Audit Department and was also attended by UUM COB Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Ram Al Jaffri Saad as the Dean of UUM Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA) and the Bursar, Mr. Abdul Roni Baharom.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in discussion regarding the potential programmes that could help enhance the competencies of officers from the National Audit Department, such as short courses or focused postgraduate programmes.

NAD also extended an invitation to UUM to utilise NAD’s assets, especially its training centre, for programme implementation, while UUM extended an invitation to NAD to use UUM’s facilities for activities planned for the organisation.

Prior to that, the NAD delegation was taken on a tour to UUM Welcome Centre and was briefed by Corporate Communication Department’s officer, Mr. Amar Abdul Aris.

NAD expressed excitement about the beauty and greenery of Sintok, while also extending warm wishes to the Vice-Chancellor on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of UUM.
