KUALA LUMPUR, 25 November 2025: The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia, made a notable debut at the prestigious Access MBA Event on 13 November 2025 at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. This milestone marks OYAGSB’s first promotional collaboration with the Advent Group, the organiser behind the globally acclaimed Access MBA Tour.
Bringing together distinguished business schools from across the globe, the event offered a highly curated and personalised platform for prospective candidates to explore MBA pathways. Unlike traditional education fairs, Access MBA utilises a rigorous pre-screening system that matches only qualified, motivated, and goal-oriented candidates with participating institutions. This selective approach enabled OYAGSB representatives to engage in purposeful, one-to-one conversations with high-calibre applicants who had already met the initial entry criteria.
OYAGSB’s presence alongside internationally renowned institutions including UBC Sauder School of Business (Canada), WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany), Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands), University of Strathclyde, (United Kingdom), Heriot-Watt University – Malaysia Campus, and Asia School of Business (Malaysia) — further elevated its global visibility and strengthened its positioning within the competitive postgraduate landscape.
Ms. Sharon Lee Wai Mei, Regional Growth Lead for Asia & Australia at Advent Group, emphasised the significance of OYAGSB’s participation. “This marks an important milestone for our event, as public universities are now joining on a global scale. Previously, the event was predominantly attended by private institutions,” she shared.
Through this strategic engagement, OYAGSB aims to expand its MBA intake while enhancing its international brand presence. The school looks forward to enhancing its partnership with Advent Group and participating in future global promotional initiatives that continue to position OYAGSB as a leading choice for aspiring business leaders.
