UUMKL welcomes delegation from Universitas Wahid Hasyim for academic sharing session

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 February 2026: Universiti Utara Malaysia Kuala Lumpur (UUMKL) Campus recently welcomed an academic delegation from Universitas Wahid Hasyim, Indonesia, in conjunction with an academic visit involving 10 Master’s students specialising in Management and Law.
The delegation was led by Prof. Dr Susetyo Darmanto, who represented the Vice Rector of Universitas Wahid Hasyim.

The delegation was warmly received by Head of UUMKL Campus, Prof. Dr Norlena bt Hasnan, who expressed her appreciation for the visit and the opportunity to engage in meaningful academic exchange. She emphasised the importance of such engagements in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening institutional ties between universities across the region.
The visit centred on an academic sharing and discussion session aimed at exchanging insights on academic practices and programme implementation. Participants were also given an overview of the academic structure and administrative framework of UUMKL, with particular emphasis on the unique dynamics and operational environment of a branch campus.
As part of the dialogue, UUM’s ongoing internationalisation initiatives were highlighted, underscoring the university’s commitment to global engagement and cross-border collaboration. The discussion further explored potential avenues for future cooperation, including the development of joint short courses, collaborative programmes, and other academic partnerships that could benefit both institutions.
Overall, the visit was regarded as a productive and forward-looking engagement that strengthened academic relations between the two universities. It is expected to serve as a solid foundation for continued collaboration and expanded academic interactions between Universiti Utara Malaysia and Universitas Wahid Hasyim in the years ahead.
