New cohort of BFA students from Uzbekistan begins MBM Journey At OYAGSB

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 March 2026: The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia, recently welcomed the second cohort of students from the Banking and Finance Academy (BFA), Uzbekistan, at a new student briefing session for the Master of Business Management (MBM) programme.

Part of an academic collaboration between OYAGSB and BFA, the programme aims to expand international postgraduate education opportunities while strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions.

At the briefing session, students were introduced to the academic environment, programme structure, and key administrative procedures, as well as academic regulations, course registration, learning platforms and available support services.

Datuk Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki, Deputy Dean (Academic and International) of OYAGSB, delivered a welcoming address and briefed the new cohort on the MBM programme.

She encouraged students to fully embrace the learning opportunities available while emphasising the importance of commitment, active participation and academic integrity in ensuring a successful postgraduate journey.

Also present was Dr. Fazliddin, Programme Coordinator from the BFA Uzbekistan, who expressed appreciation for the continued collaboration between the two institutions.

“This collaboration with OYAGSB provides valuable opportunities for our students to gain international exposure and advanced management knowledge that will support their future careers,” said Dr. Fazliddin.

Expressing confidence in the students’ potential to succeed in the programme, Datuk Prof. Norazah added:

“We hope this programme will equip students with the knowledge, leadership skills and global perspectives needed to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment.”
