UUM welcomes 22 Uzbek University lecturers for Pedagogical Transformation Programme

SINTOK, 20 May 2026: A total of 22 lecturers from Jizzakh State Pedagogical University (JSPU), Uzbekistan, are participating in the Collaborative Network for Nurturing Capacity and Teaching Transformation (CONNECT-JSPU) programme, held from 10 to 25 May 2026 at the School of Education (SOE), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

The JSPU delegation was welcomed by UUM representatives led by Assoc. Prof. Dr Hasniza Nordin, Programme Director of CONNECT-JSPU, in Kuala Lumpur before participating in a cultural exploration programme featuring visits around Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur. The programme provided participants with valuable exposure to Malaysia’s cultural heritage, educational environment, and local way of life.
Throughout the CONNECT-JSPU programme, participants will undergo a series of professional training and development sessions aimed at strengthening teaching competencies, enhancing pedagogical practices, and promoting the sharing of best practices in education. The programme also incorporates educational tourism activities designed to enrich participants’ intercultural understanding and overall learning experience.
