UUMKL hosts the 4th International Conference On Management And Communication (ICMC)  

SABAH, 4 February 2025: UUMKL is proud to announce the successful opening of its 4th International Conference on Management and Communication (ICMC), taking place from 3 to 6 February 2025 in the vibrant city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

This conference gathers a global community of scholars, industry leaders, and professionals to explore cutting-edge advancements in the fields of management, leadership, and communication.

The 4th ICMC is organized by the UUMKL in collaboration with Sabah State Government, reflecting the university’s commitment to advancing research and education in management and leadership.

Prof. Dr. Ruzita Azmi, the conference chair, expresses her excitement for this year’s event, stating, “We are thrilled to bring together such a diverse group of leaders and experts to share knowledge and insights in the field of management and communication.

“This conference presents a vital opportunity to explore the evolution of management practices in the digital age and how we can best equip future leaders for success.”

Themed ‘Innovating Together: The Convergence of Management, Communication, and The Digital Transformation,’ the ICMC provides a platform for thought leaders and researchers to exchange ideas and present research findings to today’s rapidly evolving world.

The conference features keynote addresses, panel discussions that offer comprehensive views on the challenges and opportunities in management during the digital era.

“We hope this conference serves as a valuable platform for establishing connections, exchanging innovative ideas, and sharing knowledge and experiences.

UUMKL, as a leading institution in Malaysia, is committed to providing world-class education and conducting impactful research in various fields, including business, communication, human resources, and management.

This event has attracted over 200 participants from countries including Nigeria, Indonesia and China.

Notable keynote speakers include renowned academics and leadership experts such as Datuk Dr. Ahemad Sade, Deputy State Secretary of Sabah; Prof. Dr. Naoyuki Yoshino, CEO of Asian Development Bank Institute; Prof. Ang Peng Hwa, Professor of Communication and Information from Nanyang Technological University Singapore; and Prof. Dr. Jorg Matthes, Professor of Communication at the University of Vienna, Austria.

These distinguished speakers  share their insights on emerging leadership trends and the impact of technology on management and communication strategies.

The 4th ICMC also features a series of presentations and papers covering a wide range of topics, including digital leadership, sustainable management practices, business management, entrepreneurship, innovation, and related issues on social sciences.

With an emphasis on practical applications, the conference aims to foster academic networking and global outreach with scholars and practitioners through publications in the fields of management and communication.

Participant have the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with fellow professionals and academics, contributing to the development of innovative leadership practices worldwide.
