OYAGSB expands global reach with strategic visit to Jakarta, Indonesia

JAKARTA, 19 January 2025: The Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) recently conducted a strategic visit to its esteemed partners in Indonesia particularly BINUS Business School, BINUS University and Faculty of Economic and Business (FEB), Universitas Indonesia (FEBUI).

The visit aimed to enhance collaboration on dual-degree, joint-degree and exchange programs underscoring OYAGSB’s commitment to advancing its internationalization agenda – a vital step toward achieving the prestigious EQUIS accreditation.

Led by Prof. Dr Mohd Azizuddin Mohd Sani, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & Internationalization), the delegation engaged in meaningful discussions with partner universities and institutions. The discussions focused on opportunities for academic exchange, research collaborations, and the integration of dual-degree offerings designed to meet the demands of the global market.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Prof. Dr Hassan Abu Bakar, Dean of OYAGSB, stated, “This partnership is a testament to our dedication to fostering global academic excellence. By collaborating with our Indonesian counterparts, we aim to provide our students with unparalleled international exposure and elevate OYAGSB’s standing in the global academic community.”

The dual-degree program initiative aligns with OYAGSB’s broader strategic goal of equipping graduates with globally recognized qualifications while fostering cross-cultural competence. It also supports the shared ambition of FEBUI and OYAGSB to secure EQUIS accreditation, a hallmark of quality reflecting excellence in management education and research.

Joining the visit were Assoc. Prof. Dr Arpah Abu Bakar, Director of International Office and Ms. Rozita Ramli, Director of Accreditation, Rankings and Reputation Management at OYAGSB.

The visit coincided with the ASEAN University Network for Business and Economics (AUNBE) Annual General Meeting, scheduled to take place on 16 and 17 January 2025 at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Jakarta Campus. – Rozita Ramli
